Media Chooses Auburn To Win SEC In 2015

Auburn will be your 2015 SEC champion, at least, that's the way the league's media sees things shaping up. Thursday, SEC Media Days wrapped up, and per usual, the media made its selections for both division titles as well as the SEC title game winner. Despite Alabama getting the nod in the SEC West, Auburn was chosen to win the league's title. Georgia is predicted to win the SEC East.

If you're wondering how that's possible - basically, while Auburn got more first-place votes than Alabama, the Crimson Tide had a higher aggregate point total. Regardless, the media seems to like three teams significantly more than the rest.

Here's the point total for both divisions, via Tom Green of the Opelika-Auburn News. In the West, the predicted order of finish is (1) Alabama, (2) Auburn, (3) LSU, (4) Arkansas, (5) Ole Miss, (6) Texas A&M and (7) Mississippi State. In the East, we've got (1) Georgia, (2) Tennessee, (3) Missouri, (4) South Carolina, (5) Florida, (6) Kentucky and (7) Vanderbilt.

As you can see, Auburn is predicted to be the SEC champion, with Alabama, Georgia and LSU coming in at 2-3-4. But don't worry, fans of other programs.

Needless to say, we're excited to see how it all plays out.
