Missouri football finished its 2018 season on a high note. The Tigers lead Arkansas 38-0 with just over five minutes left in today's season finale, and will finish the year 8-4, with a 4-4 SEC record.
Drew Lock has 221 yards yards and two touchdowns in the game.
Lock and company had already clinched bowl eligibility. Now, we have a decent idea of where the Tigers could wind up.
With Missouri right in the middle of the SEC, and the league's many bowl affiliations, the projections are all over the place. Entering today's game, I found five different bowl possibilities floated by various outlets.
Missouri football in the Music City Bowl:
The most popular destination for the Tigers in Nashville, though there is far from a consensus on the opponent. A few solid ACC teams could fit the bill.
CBS Sports: Missouri vs. Boston College
Missouri football in the Gator Bowl:
After the Music City Bowl, there are a number of single projections for games.
ESPN's Kyle Bonagura has the Tigers facing Michigan State in Jacksonville.
Missouri football in the Outback Bowl:
Michigan State could be a potential match-up for Missouri in a few different games. SB Nation has the Tigers taking on the Spartans in this Tampa-based game.
Missouri football in the Liberty Bowl:
This is the lone projection for Mizzou to face a Big 12 team. Sports Illustratedhas the Tigers facing Oklahoma State.
Missouri football in the Belk Bowl:
One final projection sends the Tigers to Charlotte. Sporting Newslikes Missouri to face Virginia in the Belk Bowl. The Hoos currently trail rival Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, which could hurt this possibility.
