Missouri travels to South Carolina on Saturday after both teams had forgettable performances in Week 4. Missouri lost straight up at home to Indiana, and South Carolina struggled against Vanderbilt before pulling away late. The Gamecocks will be playing their fourth conference game of the season, while the Tigers are just kicking off their SEC slate.
Plus, College GameDay is headed to Columbia, so the atmosphere should be amazing. Both teams are in desperate need of a solid performance – which will actually pull it off?

Prediction: Many might give South Carolina a pass for its poor performance in Nashville. The Gamecocks were coming off of a big win against Georgia, and may have not been as prepared as they should have been. But that didn’t stop coach Steve Spurrier from harshly criticizing his players after the game. Giving up 34 points to a Vanderbilt team that has looked terrible this season is a red flag for the South Carolina defense.
Missouri will be looking for revenge after South Carolina defeated the Tigers in both 2012 and 2013. They’ll also be looking to redeem themselves after an ugly loss to Indiana.
How does it play out? South Carolina has a strong home field advantage and the game is at night. We think the Gamecocks will respond to Spurrier’s comments and the defense will have its best performance of the season. South Carolina will cover at home.
