Missouri's Gary Pinkel Dressed In All Gold, Wore Special LeBron James Sneakers During Practice Today

Missouri football coach Gary Pinkel and Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James don't have too many things in common. On the very short list of similarities is that both men are from Akron, Ohio. Pinkel decided to represent The Rubber City during practice today by wearing a pair of gold LeBron sneakers. The shoes were part of his special all-gold outfit. Check them out:

Sure, it's awesome that Pinkel is oozing school spirit and that he represented his hometown, but this is still a bit odd. At least the sneakers are really cool.

Pinkel's Tigers will take on Minnesota in the Citrus Bowl on Jan. 1, 2015. The game is scheduled to kick off at 1:00 P.M. EST, and you can watch it on ABC.
