The Missouri offensive line suffered another blow this weekend when Justin Britt sustained a right knee injury that will keep him sidelined for the remainder of the year.
Gary Pinkel revealed the news at a Tiger Quarterback Club luncheon on Monday. Britt was playing right tackle so center Mitch Morse will shift to Britt’s spot – and Brad McNulty will be the starting center when Mizzou plays at Tennessee on Saturday.
Britt joins Morse, Travis Ruth, Elvis Fisher and Jack Meiners as projected starting offensive linemen that have missed time this season with an injury. Not being able to protect the quarterback and run blocking have been issues for the Tigers and injuries haven’t helped the cause.
In other news, Mizzou’s last home game and Senior Night will be at 6 p.m. against Syracuse on November 17. The game will be televised nationally on ESPNU.
