There will be an interesting SEC East showdown this weekend as Missouri hosts South Carolina at Faurot Field. Both teams are looking for their first in-conference win to set the tone for the rest of the season.

South Carolina opened the season up with the Battle of the Carolinas, losing to North Carolina. The Gamecocks recovered with a 72-10 win over Charleston Southern of FCS, before being torched at home by Alabama.

Missouri similarly suffered a disappointing loss to open the season, getting stunned by Wyoming in Laramie. The Tigers returned home to crush West Virginia 38-7 the following week, and followed that up by crushing the FCS' Southeast Missouri State.

With their better record, home-field advantage, and their win over a Power Five opponent working in their favor, Missouri has been set as the favorite.

Here are the details for the game:

Game Time: 4:00 PM ET

Channel: SEC Network (alt)

Spread: Missouri -9

Over/Under: 61

Announcers: Mike Morgan, Ray Bentley

The Gamecocks are currently riding a three-game winning streak against the Tigers, and blew them out as the road team in 2017. They hold a 5-4 edge in the all-time series.

But Missouri has one potential x-factor in this game: Quarterback Kelly Bryant. The former Clemson starting quarterback has thrived in his new school, and is on pace for career highs in nearly all categories.

Bryant also has a bit of a history with South Carolina, having beaten them as Clemson's starter in 2017.

Maybe that will work in his favor, or maybe Will Muschamp knows how to beat him now.
