Yesterday, our own Matt Hundley took a look at the 10 Twitter handles to follow for Mizzou sports news.

Today, we go inside the locker room to show you the top Mizzou football players to follow on Twitter. Over the years, Mizzou has had some wonderful athletes worth following on different social media outlets, and 2012 will be no different.

Here are the top 5 worthy of your Twitter time.

1. Elvis Fisher: @ElvisFisher72

Elvis is the creator of the #6thYearProblems hashtag. The starting senior double-redshirt left tackle became nationally famous this summer for posting a holdout video on YouTube.

One of his demands was to have his Twitter handle on the back of his jersey rather than his last name. C’mon Pinkel he needs more followers!

2. T.J. Moe: @TJMoe28

The senior wideout always has something insightful to say. His diverse range of topics includes motivational tweets and fantasy football insight. T.J. has been known to take the occasional KU jab, but then again what Mizzou player hasn’t.

Bottom line: T.J. is a huge fan of Tiger Nation and will do anything to make the fans smile.

3. Brad Madison: @BMadison57

Another senior, Brad Madison, has been making Mizzou followers laugh for years. While he may not tweet that often, his pictures are worth the follow alone.

Whether he is making fun of fellow linemen or himself, Madison brings some locker room humor to the fans. He is also a huge KC sports fan and can be a tad bit biased in some of his tweets.

4. E.J. Gaines: @GainesTrain_31

The junior cornerback is another good follow on Twitter. E.J. is very active and covers many different topics.

Some of the Gaines Train’s best thoughts come when he is just simply watching television and providing commentary on anything from the Hunger Games to Maury.

5. Lucas Vincent: @SamoanTaika96

This redshirt sophomore defensive lineman is new to the starting rotation this year. However, he is not new to Twitter.

Lucas is very gracious to his followers, retweeting and striking up conversation quite often. His best tweets are usually regarding the looks he gets while riding his scooter on campus.
