Many folks would argue that South Carolina’s Jadeveon Clowney is the best player in the SEC. In fact, he’s the odds-on favorite to go first overall in the 2014 NFL Draft. However, there are apparently some doubters even in his own conference.
This morning, media members got a chance to vote on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-team All-SEC rosters. Of course, there will always be a few disagreements, but this one was a complete shocker: 20 of the 243 voters didn’t select Clowney for the 1st team — that’s nearly 10%,

The only thing I can think of here is that people question his run-stopping ability, because we know he’s one of the most absurd pass-rushers we’ve seen in years. However, he did showcase some crazy run-stopping skills with “The Hit”, which won an ESPY award last night.
Fans aren’t going to be happy with those 20 writers, but hey, apparently the opinion wasn’t that uncommon. However, I shudder to think what Clowney will do with a chip on his shoulder.
