Video: Chicago Bears QB Connor Shaw Suffers Horrific Injury vs. Kansas City

Chicago Bears quarterback Connor Shaw suffered a horrific injury Saturday afternoon.

Connor Shaw, who starred at South Carolina from 2011-2013, is now a backup signal-caller for the Chicago Bears after two seasons in Cleveland. Saturday afternoon, during the team's preseason contest against the Kansas City Chiefs, Shaw suffered a broken leg after his ankle bent backwards when a Chiefs defensive lineman landed awkwardly on him.

Shaw's injury has been categorized by the Bears as "very serious" - and he's already on his way to the hospital. Ian Rapoport is reporting that it's unknown whether there is ligament damage.

Here's video of the play - it's tough to watch.

Let's hope Shaw makes a full recovery and is back on the field in no time. We'll keep you updated on his status.
