Former South Carolina Star Marcus Lattimore Takes Flood Victims On Shopping Spree

Former South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore certainly understands what it means to be in the holiday spirit. According to WISTV, Lattimore, through his foundation, took the time to help 25 children from Georgetown County who are still struggling after the floods earlier this year. Lattimore took them on a shopping spree in Wal-Mart and gave them new pairs of Under Armour shoes. Here's more:

Each of the twenty five kids selected were given a Wal-Mart gift card to use on anything in the store, as well as a new pair of shoes. Volunteers and members of the Lattimore family helped the kids pick out what they wanted. Marcus says having his family with him makes the experience that much more fulfilling. "It's one thing that's just dear to my heart because my family we're always together. We always do things together, and this is one thing that we can bond over." The Marcus Lattimore Foundation is also dedicated to helping young athletes who live in low-income areas.

Props to Lattimore for giving back during what's surely a tough time for many during the holidays.
