It Sounds Like South Carolina RB Mike Davis Is Headed To The NFL After This Season

Update: Here's video of Davis discussing his future decision, courtesy of gogamecocks.com

Earlier: Mike Davis has yet to officially announce his plans for his football future, but it sure seems like the South Carolina junior running back is headed to the NFL following this season.

The 5-foot-9, 223-pound back will be honored with the Gamecocks' seniors prior to Saturday's game against South Alabama.

"I think, before the season, he was thinking about (leaving)," Spurrier told reporters. "You'll have to ask him what his plans are. I haven't really talked to him about it. I have always said any player that wants to leave after three years, that would be his decision."

This evening, Davis told reporters that "it's possible" he's made his decision.

That quote sounds like it's coming from a man who is ready to move on. ESPN NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper has Davis as the No. 5 running back and No. 64 player overall in the 2015 Class.

Davis has rushed for 875 yards and nine touchdowns this season.
