The South Carolina Gamecocks entered the 2019 college football season with the most-difficult schedule in the country. It was no surprise, then, to see the Gamecocks with a 2-3 record entering their game against Georgia.

However, the Gamecocks showed they are for real - despite their record - with a huge win over the Bulldogs last weekend.

The win was made even more impressive as starting quarterback Ryan Hilinski sat on the sidelines with a heavy brace on his leg. The star quarterback took a late - and somewhat controversial - hit to his left leg during the game against the Bulldogs.

He sat out for the rest of the game and the injury threatened his status against Florida.

However, the star quarterback is on the field for warm-ups ahead of the Gamecocks' second-straight game against a top-10 opponent.

He was 15-of-20 for 116 yards and a touchdown before leaving the game against Georgia.

Hilinski still has a heavy brace on his left leg, but he looks to be able to bear his weight on the leg when throwing.

South Carolina needs him on the field if they want to take down another top-ranked team this weekend.

Stay tuned for the latest on Hilinski before the game kicks off.
