It is a bit of a shame that Steve Spurrier never got a chance to coach Brett Favre. The Head Ball Coach and the Gunslinger seem like they would’ve been a great coach-quarterback combination. They apparently do have some relationship, however, and the future NFL Hall of Famer stopped by Gamecocks practice to speak to the team today.

If new USC starter Connor Mitch starts making some wild, Favre-esque plays out on the field this season, we may have an idea of where he got it from.
