South Carolina Coach Frank Martin Agrees That Gamecocks Got "Hosed" By NCAA Tournament Committee

The 2015-2016 South Carolina Gamecocks accomplished a great deal, posting 25 victories - 11 of which came in the SEC - a year after finishing with just a 17-16 record. But the NCAA Tournament committee wasn't impressed with South Carolina's non-conference schedule, along with the list of teams that the Gamecocks defeated. As such, they were left out of the event and instead received a No. 1 seed in the NIT.

Thursday, head coach Frank Martin responded to professional golfer Tommy Gainey on Twitter, agreeing with him that South Carolina got "hosed" by the committee. Martin had previously expressed disappointmentwith the decision.

">@FrankMartin_SC HappyBirthday coach and congrats on a great season. We got hosed out of the tournament but you know we are still behind you.

Regardless, it's clear that Martin has the program trending in the right direction. If they can build on this past year's success, they likely won't need to worry about their fate come Selection Sunday.
