Watch: South Carolina Makes Huge Red Zone Stop To Seal Win Over NC State

South Carolina pulled out a nice neutral site win in Charlotte over NC State.

Down 35-28 with three minutes to go, the Wolfpack forced a big punt, and quarterback Ryan Finley got set to go to work.

Over the next two and a half minutes, State systematically worked its way down the field, from its own 28 yard line all the way to the South Carolina eight.

The Wolfpack never got closer.

South Carolina forced three huge incompletions and a sack to force the decisive four-and-out and hold on to the victory.

Sophomore quarterback Jake Bentley impressed for South Carolina, completing 17-of-29 passes for 215 yards and three touchdowns, two of which went to star receiver Deebo Samuel, who also returned the opening kickoff to the house.

NC State quarterback Ryan Finley amassed 415 yards and two touchdowns in a losing effort.

I certainly don't want to make any rush judgments after one week, but it doesn't seem like Cole Cubelic's bold NC State College Football Playoff pick is going to come to fruition.

At least he owned it.
