South Carolina vs. USF preview:
After pitiful 2-4 start to the season, the Gamecocks rebounded nicely by finishing the back half of their schedule with a 4-2 run. Head coach Will Muschamp will see a bowl game in his first season at South Carolina; not too shabby! The offense gained a newfound swagger midseason when true freshman took over under center, and they'll look to cap off the second-half success with a bowl-game victory. The defense is resilient against threats from the air, but has difficulty stopping the ground game.
The USF Bulls will look to cap off a terrific 2016 campaign with bowl win, and they'll do so led by the dynamic quarterback named Quentin Flowers. Flowers has accounted for 43 total touchdowns this year and will certainly give the Gamecocks fits on the ground. This has been a breakout season for Flowers, will this bowl game be where he bursts onto the national scene?
South Carolina vs. USF prediction:
I like USF in this one. With Flowers at the helm facing a shaky run-defense, it's an easy pick. The Gamecocks have a lot to look forward to next year with Bentley under center, but it's not his time just yet.
