Steve Spurrier Clarifies That He's "Resigning, Not Retiring"
Monday night, it was reported by a number of outlets that South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier would be retiring from coaching, effective immediately. Tuesday afternoon, Spurrier, during his final press conference with the Gamecocks, clarified his decision. Spurrier told reporters that he's "resigning, not retiring."
He added that he might want to coach a high school team at some point in the future.
