Steve Spurrier Planning On Not Redshirting 4-Star Freshman QB Lorenzo Nunez

A true freshman quarterback could be seeing the field for South Carolina this fall. 

Steve Spurrier said today that he's not planning on redshirting four-star freshman quarterback Lorenzo Nunez. 

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect out of Kennesaw, Ga., is a dual-threat QB and was one of the top 20 players at his position in the 2015 recruiting class.

Spurrier has been known to play multiple quarterbacks in previous seasons. South Carolina opens its 2015 season Sept. 3 against North Carolina.
