The way that the NFL handled its suspension of former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice has generated a ton of controversy. A lot of things still need to play out, and there is almost certainly going to be more fallout in the coming months, but this has been a huge talking point among just about everyone.
Today, South Carolina head football coach Steve Spurrier weighed in on the situation and domestic violence in general, and he didn't hold anything back. The Old Ball Coach made it clear that if you are a Gamecock, and if you hit a woman, you're off of the team.
Credit to Spurrier for taking a strong stance against a serious issue, and for being so passionate that if this happens in his program, he's going to take action against a player. Let's just hope that he never has to do that.
