He's looking elsewhere.

Tampa (Fl.) Tech three-star quarterback Michael Penix announced his decommitment from Tennessee on Wednesday afternoon.

Penix picked up an offer from Florida State over the weekend, and it looks like he's seriously considering the news. He's the No. 20 pro-style quarterback recruit in the 2018 class according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings.

He announced his decision on Twitter.

Florida State recently acquired former Oregon head coach Willie Taggart, and it might be paying dividends for the school. Taggart recruits the state of Florida as well, if not better, than anyone else in the country.

Penix's decision will come next week.
