4-Star Cornerback Adonis Otey Decommits From Tennessee

Four-star cornerback recruit Adonis Otey has decommitted from Tennessee.

One of the best cornerbacks for the class of 2019 has backed off his pledge to Tennessee. Adonis Otey, a four-star defensive back from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, announced the news on his Twitter account on Monday morning.

Otey originally committed to play for the Vols back in April.

Otey is a 6-foot, 175-pound player for the class of 2019. Here's what he had to say about changing his mind:

"I would like to thank everyone who has supported me throughout this process and the University of Tennessee for recruiting me but at this time I will be de-committing from the University of Tennessee and reopening my recruitment. Tennessee will still be one of my tops schools in the future."

Here's Otey's tweet. He noted that he's still considering Tennessee.

Otey has offers from 10 schools - though that number could increase now with his availability. Along with Tennessee, he has offers from LSU, Florida, Louisville, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Cincinnati, Memphis, Ole Miss and Jackson State.
