Nashville (Tenn.) Ensworth star Keshawn Lawrence, the No. 3 safety in the 2020 recruiting class, announced a commitment to Tennessee a short time ago.

Lawrence chose the Vols over LSU, Miami, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt and more. He is the No. 2 rising senior prospect in the state of Tennessee.

Lawrence is also the No. 63 overall recruit in the country, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings. He is the highest-rated commit in UT's 2020 haul.

Below is his commitment announcement video:

Currently, Tennessee has the No. 24 recruiting class in the country but only the 10th-best in the SEC. That ought to tell you how well the entire conference is doing at pulling in players these days.

Still, landing Lawrence is a major coup for Tennessee head coach Jeremy Pruitt. He is the seventh four-star in the Vols' 2020 class.

Overall, the Vols have picked up five verbal commitments in the month of June alone.
