Tennessee Volunteers defensive tackle Danny O'Brien has taken to Twitter regarding his injury status.
Tennessee defensive tackle Danny O’Brien suffered a head injury while making a tackle on Texas A&M running back Keith Ford on Saturday. O'Brien's helmet collided with Ford's as the fifth-year senior went for the tackle.
O’Brien landed face down and didn’t move at first. Trainers immediately rushed to his side and immobilized O'Brien. He was taken to the hospital. As of last night, O'Brien was released from the hospital and taken to the team plane.
The defensive tackle released a statement this morning via Twitter, thanking everyone for the well wishes and saying that he was okay.
Of course he added the hashtag as well. The Volunteers host No. 1 Alabama next weekend.
It's good to see O'Brien is in good spirits after the injury.
