No. 2 JuCo DE Dorian Gerald Commits To Tennessee

Dorian Gerald, one of the nation's top junior college players, is heading to Tennessee.

Gerald, who currently plays at College of the Canyons, is the No. 11 junior college recruit in the class of 2018.

247Sports has him ranked No. 2 among JuCo strong-side defensive ends, and he is the top JuCo recruit in South Carolina.

Now, he'll make the move to Rocky Top to start his Division I career.

He made the announcement via Twitter.

Gerald had plenty of other suitors, but ultimately landed on Tennessee.

Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Louisville, LSU, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Syracuse, and Texas A&M are among his many other offers.

Tennessee now has 17 members of the class of 2018, a group that is ranked No. 4 in the country and No. 2 in the SEC.

Gerald is the first defensive end in the class, though the group features defensive tackles Greg Emerson, Brant Lawless, and Jamarcus Chatman.

Head coach Butch Jones has work to do this season, but recruiting has not really suffered from the heat on his job thus far this year.
