This year didn’t start on the right foot for Tennessee’s football program, but Jeremy Pruitt led his team on a five-game winning streak to finish the regular season. For the first time since 2016, the Volunteers will appear in a bowl game.
Pruitt did a marvelous job coaching Tennessee toward the end of the year, defeating Missouri, Kentucky, South Carolina and Vanderbilt.
Next up for Tennessee is a showdown with Indiana in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl. This will be the second all-time meeting between these two programs.
With every bowl game for this season officially set, the broadcasting teams from ESPN were revealed.
In a press release from earlier this week, ESPN announced that Dave O’Brien, Tim Hasselbeck, and Katie George will be on the call for the Indiana-Tennessee matchup.
Tennessee will be without top wideout Jauan Jennings for the first half of the game due to a suspension. It’s a tough loss for the offense, but the unit should keep rolling as long as dual-threat quarterback Jarrett Guarantano makes plays.
Kickoff for this game is at 7 p.m. ET from EverBank Field.
Will the Volunteers continue their winning streak, or will the Hoosiers win their first bowl game under Tom Allen?
