Former Tennessee running back Jalen Hurd is officially off the transfer market.
Hurd casually announced he is heading to Baylor on Twitter Saturday evening. Hurd visited the Bears a couple of weeks ago and also checked out Cal, Louisville and Ohio State.
He will have to sit out next season per transfer rules before finishing his career in 2018.
In three seasons at Tennessee, Hurd rushed for 2,638 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns. He also caught 67 passes for 492 yards and six scores.
He was on pace to become the program's all-time leading rusher before he abruptly transferred mid-season.
When Hurd announced his transfer, news got out that he intended to play a different position, possibly wide receiver or tight end, at his next destination. At 6-foot-4, 240 pounds, he's not a classically-build running back.
According to SicEm365, Hurd will play a number of positions at Baylor.
