Georgia State football scored the first big upset of the 2019 college football season, and perhaps the biggest win of its brief history as a program, when it beat Tennessee at Neyland Stadium back in Week 1. Unsurprisingly, the Panthers continue to trade off of it.

Tennessee was a 26-point favorite in its season opener. Instead, the Vols fell 38-30, in a game that didn't feel like any fluke.

The Vols followed it up with a loss to BYU in overtime, and after beating Chattanooga for its first win, got blown out by Florida last weekend. With Georgia up next after a Week 5 bye, the more pain is probably on the docket for UT.

Meanwhile, Georgia State has come back to the pack since the game.

The Panthers followed the Tennessee win with a narrow win over FCS program Furman, and were then blown out by Western Michigan 57-10, and fell to Texas State 37-34.

That hasn't stopped the team from continuing to have fun at the Vols' expense.

Georgia State's NFL neighbor in Atlanta, the Falcons, are set to face the Tennessee Titans this weekend. During his press conference, head coach Dan Quinn said that the Falcons are only focused on "beating Tennessee."

Naturally, Georgia State's Twitter account felt the need to chime in.

Most fans outside of the GSU fan base are only going to remember the 2019 Panthers season for that Tennessee win. The team deserves to enjoy that one as long as it wants to.
