Jordan McRae On Cuonzo Martin's Treatment At Tennessee: "Can't Treat People Any Kind Of Way And Expect Good In Return"

Cuonzo Martin's sudden departure from Tennessee was a surprise, but probably not totally unexpected based on how Martin was received earlier this season, before Tennessee's run to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament. Many Vols fans wanted to run Martin out of town, and some even petitioned the school to bring back former Tennessee coach Bruce Pearl, who has since been hired at Auburn.

Martin had come up as a candidate a few weeks ago for the Marquette opening, but then announced that he was staying at Tennessee. That is no longer the case, and star Vols guard Jordan McRae doesn't blame him. McRae sent a few pointed tweets today, and while he doesn't specify what they're about, it is pretty clear that he doesn't love the way Martin was treated this year.

Tennessee to Cal seems like a fairly lateral move, but if the fans in Berkeley treat Martin well, it may well be worth it.
