Photos/Video: Tennessee Band Pays Tribute To Pat Summitt With Halftime Show

Pat Summitt, Tennessee's legendary women's basketball coach, passed away in June after a battle with dementia. The Vols have paid tribute to her ever since, and the Pride of the Southland Band did its part today.

During halftime of UT's home game against the Ohio Bobcats, the band formed the stylized 'P' and 'Pat' used by the Pat Summitt Foundation, which is helping to establish the Pat Summitt Alzheimer’s Clinic at the University of Tennessee Medical Center, set to open this December.

One Tennessee fan broadcast the performance via Periscope, which can be viewed below.

Tennessee football is also wearing Pat Summitt decals on its helmets this season, out of respect from the venerable coach.

The Vols currently lead Ohio 14-12 early in the third quarter. Alvin Kamara is leading the way for Tennessee with 45 yards on just four carries. Jalen Hurd has eight carries for 25 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Joshua Dobbs is 12-for-18 for 112 yards, a touchdown, and an interception.
