Atlanta (Ga.) Woodward Academy four-star running back Elijah Holyfield is one of the top prospects at his position in the 2016 class. He holds over 30 scholarship offers, and told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution he is on the verge of cutting things down.
Per the AJC's report, Holyfield knows some of the programs that will make his shortened list:
“More than likely, I’m going to release it at “The Opening” all-star camp at Nike headquarters in Oregon this week. So who will be on that list? “Auburn will be there. Alabama will be there. Georgia, more than likely will be on there. Tennessee will be on there. I’m also putting some schools that I haven’t gotten the chance to see but I’m still interested in.” Holyfield didn’t say how many total colleges will make the cut.
Auburn is the projected landing spot for Holyfield, the son of former heavyweight boxing champion Evander Holyfield, according to 247Sports' Crystal Ball feature.
