Report: Tennessee RB Joe Young's Career Could Be Over After Neck Injury

Last week, it was reported by Ryan Callahan of 247 Sports that Tennessee running back Joe Young, who sat out of spring practice after suffering an injury, would be temporarily serving as a student coach while he healed. But a report dropped by WNML's Jimmy Hyams Tuesday suggests that Young's career could actually be over.

Hyams is reporting that Young suffered a neck injury, and that it's "safe to say" that his career is over. It's tough news, obviously.

Young had 19 carries for 64 yards and a score in his freshman year in 2015. It seems likely he'll stay on as part of the team - even if he can't play.
