ESPN put out its first edition of the ESPN300 recruiting rankings for the football class of 2018 today. Here’s where each of Tennessee’s ESPN300 2018 commits ranks.
ESPN, which is one of the four major recruiting services, published its most notable recruiting list for the class of 2018 for the first time today. Here is how the rankings shook out for each of the ranked players joining the Tennessee Volunteers next year. Two of Tennessee’s four players made the ESPN300:
Four-star OT Cade Mays (Knoxville, TN)
Rank: No. 18
Four-star WR Alontae Taylor (Manchester, TN)
Rank: No. 47
With only four total recruits in its 2018 class, Tennessee still has a ways to go. The Vols’ 2018 class is currently ranked No. 31 in the nation per 247 Sports, far behind the schools it wants to be competing against. Tennessee has the No. 7 ranked class in the SEC, and for reference, LSU boasts nearly double the amount of four-star recruits (7) than Tennessee has in its entire class. That doesn’t look great so far, but there’s still plenty of time to make moves.
