Tennessee freshman quarterback Will McBride has settled on a transfer destination.

The former Volunteers' dual-threat quarterback announced late on Wednesday evening where he'll be playing in 2019.

McBride, the No. 29 dual-threat QB in the country coming out of high school, has committed to Lamar University.

"Excited to announce I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at Lamar University!" he tweeted.

McBride also issued a special thank-you message for Tennessee: "Also want to take the time to say I REALLY APPRECIATE the support from EVERYONE but specifically Vol Nation. Tennessee is a special place and the tradition is unmatched. I learned so much in Knoxville. I’m certainly going to miss my brothers repping the orange and white," he tweeted.

McBride had announced at the end of the 2018 season that he was transferring from Tennessee.
