Tennessee's 2017 recruiting class received a major boost Friday afternoon, landing a commitment from one of the nation's top defensive tackles.
Virginia Beach (VA) DT Eric Crosby, rated as the No. 6 defensive tackle in the country by 247 Sports, announced his decision to commit to Tennessee in front of friends and family at Ocean Lakes High. Crosby was also being heavily pursued by the likes of Alabama, Florida State and Clemson, but it was the Vols that came out on top.

At 6-foot-1, 285-pounds, Crosby is a huge get for the Volunteers. Not only is the the highest-rated member of their 2017 class, but his commitment moves Tennessee's class to the No. 6 class in the SEC.
