We all make fun of our grandparents for not being able to understand the latest technology - it's like a rite of passage for every human on the planet.

However, the reverse can be true as well. Watching young kids today attempt to use technology of a bygone era is a sight to behold.

That happened on the Tennessee sideline this afternoon during the team's game against Florida.

Freshman quarterback J.T. Shrout attempted to take a call from the booth upstairs, with a landline.

Unfortunately, it looks like Shrout has never used a landline in his life - he attempted to take the whole device to his ear.

Check it out.

Shrout may have just been joking around with his teammates on the sideline, but many on social media are in awe of the move.

Have we really reached the point where landlines are confusing technology to today's youth?

We'll be laughing about this one for quite a while today. Hopefully Shrout responds to the story at some point so we can learn the true story behind the video.
