Video: Tennessee Walk-On Alex Ellis Awarded A Scholarship As A 'Bowl Gift' By Butch Jones

Most of the touching videos of college football walk-ons being awarded scholarships come before the season, but Tennessee decided to use the holiday season to reward one of its dedicated players. Butch Jones came to a meeting with a few wrapped presents, which he said he was giving for good performance during bowl practices. The first person he calls down is redshirt junior tight end Alex Ellis, whose box does not contain a fancy watch or tablet, but something even more valuable—scholarship papers.

Ellis contributed a bit for the Vols this season, catching six passes for 115 yards and a touchdown, while majoring in Biomedical Engineering. His reaction, along with his teammates' thunderous applause is awesome to see.
