College football is just over a month away from returning, which means predictions are coming in hot from members of the media. The latest personality to discuss this upcoming season is FS1’s Colin Cowherd.
With win totals out for every team in the country, Cowherd gave his projections for a handful of Power Five programs. He also revealed which team he thinks will be disappointing in 2019.
Even though Texas A&M is trending up with Jimbo Fisher at the helm, Cowherd sees a down year for the program.
“Vegas thinks they’re going to win 7.5 (games). They’re going to win fewer than that – the SEC is just too good right now,” Cowherd said on The Herd. “You can go seven to eight deep in the SEC, unlike other conferences where there’s two or three top teams and its weak in the middle. Jimbo Fisher can recruit, that’s his strength, I don’t think he’s a great schematic coach. The problem is most of his recruits aren’t playing yet. This is only his second year and he’s had two recruiting classes.”
Cowherd believes the Aggies will finish with a 6-6 record.
