Texas A&M hasn’t been in the Big 12 since 2011.
It’s been five years since Texas A&M up and left the Big 12 for the greener pastures of the SEC, but apparently Sports Illustrated forgot all about that when it published its top 25 rankings earlier today.
SI had the Aggies listed as going 4-4 in “Big 12” play last season.
Twitter user Danny Boy was quick to catch the error, pointing out that “Texas A&M is a part of the SEC, not the trash that is the Big 12.”

Hopefully, the error has since been fixed. I highly doubt SI wants to experience the wrath of any more upset A&M fans.
The Aggies have never finished higher than fifth in the SEC since joining in 2012. Last season they went 8-5 and lost in the Texas Bowl to the Kansas State Wildcats.
