Texas A&M Former All-American, Wife Reportedly Shot By Teenage Son

Earlier: A former Texas A&M All-American linebacker and his wife were reportedly shot by their teenage son early this morning. Antonio Armstrong and his wife, Dawn, were reportedly shot by their 16-year-old son inside their bedroom at their home in Bellaire, Houston. Dawn Armstrong reportedly did not survive the shooting and Antonio Armstrong is in critical condition. The son has reportedly been charged with murder.

The couple also has a daughter. She was home at the time of the shooting, but is OK. We have learned new information about the victims. Sources identify them as Antonio and Dawn Armstrong. Dawn was found dead at the scene in the couple's bedroom. Antonio Armstrong was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he's listed in critical condition.

Antonio Armstrong played at Texas A&M in the early 1990s and was an AP All-American his senior year. He then went on to play for the Miami Dolphins for four games in 1995. An outpouring of love has been sent his way on Twitter.
