It is a modern-day millennial love story.
Last Saturday night, Texas A&M quarterback Nick Starkel took to Twitter with a question for his followers. He was looking for potential love.
Starkel tweeted for help finding a young woman who works at Hullabaloo Diner. All Starkel knew was her name was Lindsey.
“I need some help Aggieland! If anyone knows a girl named Lindsey that works at Hullabaloo Diner, DM me. Hope this works,” he wrote.
Well, within two hours, someone had messaged Starkel with Lindsey's Twitter handle. His tactic had worked.
It looks like Starkel took his plan to the next step last night. He and Lindsey went on an ice cream date.
Starkel's Texas A&M teammate Tyrel Dodson tweeted a picture of him leaving to meet Lindsey.
"@NickStarkel is headed to get ice cream with Lindsey. Twitter makes dreams come true #IntwitteriBelieve," Dodson wrote.
The power of social media is amazing sometimes.
Here's to hoping Starkel and Lindsey had a nice night. It would be pretty funny if they turned into a couple after all of this.
