Texas A&M Quarterback Kyle Allen Admits He Was Injured Against Alabama, Ole Miss

Texas A&M quarterback Kyle Allen has been up and down during his first two years in College Station, but his game against Ole Miss was an extreme low. Allen only completed 12-of-34 passes for 88 yards and an interception. The team never mentioned an injury giving Allen trouble, but today Allen admitted that he suffered a sprained AC joint against Alabama the week before.

ESPN's Sam Khan Jr. has more on the injury.

Allen said he told the coaches he felt good enough to play and never considered taking himself out. Allen, who started in A&M's 25-0 win over Vanderbilt on Saturday, will start Saturday vs. LSU and said he feels good now.

After missing games against South Carolina and Auburn, Allen has looked much better in recent weeks. Against Western Carolina, he was a perfect 6-for-6 for 88 yards and a score, and against a solid Vanderbilt defense, he was 18-for-36 for 336 yards and a touchdown.
