Video: Vanderbilt Pitchers Try To Take Down The Now-Famous #RoyHibbertChallenge

A valiant attempt.

College athletes are very competitive people. If you give them a challenge, especially a fun one, there's a pretty good chance that they will try to beat it with a vengeance.

Enter the #RoyHibbertChallenge.

During the final game of the Eastern Conference Finals, Pacers center Roy Hibbert was caught chugging a Gatorade on TV before ABC went to commercial. But this was not a normal chug -- Hibbert impressively took down a 20-ounce Gatorade in under six seconds:

Of course, that kick-started the #RoyHibbertChallenge on Twitter, where people try to replicate the feat and post Vines to prove it. And it was only a matter of time before some college athletes decided that they could prove themselves -- it happened to be a few pitchers from Vanderbilt that went for the challenge.

None of the three can match Hibbert's pace, but they did give it a good effort.
