On Wednesday afternoon, soccer fans woke up to some major news as the United States Women's National Team announced its roster for the upcoming Olympics.

The announcement is a blessing and a curse as several of the best players in the country were left off the team. Of course, when the United States has the No. 1 team in the world, there will always be tough decisions to make when it comes to the roster.

Thankfully, a few fan favorites made the squad. One of those is star striker Alex Morgan, who is gearing up to play in her third Olympic Games.

After the United States Women's National Team roster was announced this morning, Morgan took to Twitter with a short message for the fans.

"Fired. Up!!! Tokyo bound LFG!" she said.

Morgan also said she has a few new goal celebrations in mind if she happens to score in the tournament. "I have like 3 solid new cellys for the Olympics now. Let's gooooo," she said on Twitter.

The USWNT will have its hands full in group stage during the tournament later this summer. Alex Morgan and company will face off against two of the top nine teams in the world in Sweden and Australia.

Action kicks off on July 21 as the USWNT takes the field for a showdown with the No. 5 team in the world: Sweden.
