Craig Carton is set to leave his highly-rated show on New York City sports radio juggernaut WFAN.

Carton will focus solely on his morning show at FS1, where he's set to make seven figures, according to reports.

Carton's decision - and the circumstances surrounding it - aren't sitting well with one host from another station in the city.

Peter Rosenberg, who works at ESPN Radio affiliate WEPN, shared his opinion on Carton's choice to leave radio for television on Thursday.

"This dude committed fraud, embarrassed the whole station, went to jail, was accepted back by them, did well, and immediately leaves for more money," Rosenberg said.

Rosenberg is referring to Carton's arrest and subsequent imprisonment for securities and wire fraud in 2017.

The situation led to his resignation from WFAN before he was sentenced to three and a half years in prison the following year.

Carton served 12 months prior to his release in 2020, the same year he was re-hired by WFAN. As Rosenberg said, the station welcomed him back and he performed well, with his afternoon drive show bringing in high ratings.

Last year, Carton began "The Carton Show" on Fox Sports 1. With television proving to be a more lucrative line of work, it appears Carton will be leaving radio behind for good.
