Prayers Pouring In For Former ESPN Host Cindy Brunson's Family

Former ESPN SportsCenter host Cindy Brunson.

Longtime sports broadcaster Cindy Brunson experienced a tremendous personal tragedy of late.

Brunson, who currently works for Pac-12 Networks, lost her father recently. On Monday, she shared a heartbreaking Twitter post about his passing.

"Getting ready for my pops funeral, reach for my phone and this is what I see," Brunson wrote, including a picture of her and her father on her wedding day.

Prayers and well-wishes have been pouring in for Brunson following her tweet, including from her media colleagues Ed Werder and Jim Trotter.

A native of Arizona and a Washington State alum, Brunson served as a host and SportsCenter anchor for ESPN from 1999-2012. While there, she met and worked with her future husband, Steve Berthiaume.

After leaving ESPN. Brunson joined the Arizona Diamondbacks' broadcast team before eventually signing on with Pac-12 Networks.

Here at The Spun, we would also like to wish our prayers and condolences to Brunson and her family during this heartbreaking time.
