Aaron Rodgers Names Best Wide Receiver In NFL, 'It's Not Really Close'
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has thrown the ball to a lot of wide receivers in his NFL career. But right now there's one receiver who he thinks is the best and doesn't have any doubts at all about it.
Appearing on Mad Dog Sports Radio with Adam Schein, Rodgers declared that Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams - his former teammate - is the best receiver in the league. He went so far as to say that "it's not necessarily close" to boot.
"This is difficult to make this comparison (to any other receiver) because Davante Adams, to me, is the best receiver in the league and it's not necessarily that close. There's a couple of guys in that stratosphere but he's the best. But the way he went about his business - and continues to - the professionalism, the swagger, the confidence, the attention to detail and his work ethic and preparation..." Rodgers said.
Rodgers went on to assert that his teammate, reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year wide receiver Garrett Wilson, has the potential to become a player like Adams. But he maintains that Adams is the best for right now.
Davante Adams certainly proved in 2022 that his success was not just a byproduct of playing with Aaron Rodgers.
In his first year with the Las Vegas Raiders, Adams had 100 receptions for 1,516 yards and a league-leading 14 receiving touchdowns en route to his third straight Pro Bowl and First-Team All-Pro season.
Do you think Adams is the best wide receiver in the NFL too?
