Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers reportedly made a pretty notable decision following his team's season-ending loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round of the NFC playoffs last weekend.

According to a report from NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, Rodgers did not immediately fly out of Green Bay following the season-ending loss.

Instead, Rodgers reportedly stuck around Green Bay for a couple of days, plotting out a potential future moving forward.

That seems pretty notable, considering much has been made about Rodgers' future in Green Bay. It sounds like he is at least very much considering a return.

From the report:

Sources say Rodgers stayed in the building for a few extra days to plot out the team's future, huddling with coach Matt LaFleur and others and mapping out what's next. It left those in the organization with confidence moving forward that Rodgers will return for the 2022 season.

Cautious optimism was the phrase, per sources, though no one wants to interfere with Rodgers' process. And Packers decision makers all respect the steps he'll take to arrive at his eventual decision.

We'll see what happens moving forward, but Green Bay Packers fans have to be pretty encouraged by that news.
