Antonio Brown's threat to retire if he wasn't allowed to wear his old helmet came to an abrupt end this week.

The Oakland Raiders wide receiver applied for a waiver from the NFL to wear the helmet he's worn since he entered the league. However, the NFL disallowed his helmet for safety reasons and denied his appeal.

Following the failed appeal, Brown reportedly threatened to walk away from the game. Just days later, he's finally back at Raiders camp - sans old helmet.

A photo of Brown appearing to Raiders training camp hit social media on Tuesday afternoon.

Check it out.

It's a good sign that Brown is back with the Raiders just a few weeks before the season kicks off.

Between his helmet drama and foot injuries related to cryotherapy, it's been a busy off-season for the star wide receiver. Regardless of the off-field issues surrounding Brown this summer, he's still one of the best at his position in the NFL.

We'll have to wait and see if that translates to success for the Raiders and quarterback Derek Carr.

Until the season starts, we'll be glued to Hard Knocks to watch the Antonio Brown-Oakland Raiders madness unfold on the small screen.
