Ben Roethlisberger Shares Honest Admission On Team's Offense

The Pittsburgh Steelers certainly have the talent to be a Super Bowl contender this season, but Ben Roethlisberger understands that it'll take time for them to reach their full potential.
On Wednesday, the two-time Super Bowl champion discussed the Steelers' outlook for their Week 1 showdown with the Buffalo Bills. He didn't pull any punches with his response, admitting that September football can look a bit ugly at times.
“We’re going to have to kind of learn on the fly — all of us,” Roethlisberger said, via thePittsburgh Post-Gazette. “It may not be pretty early. We have to accept that fact, too. But at the end of the day, we just have to do what we have to do to win a football game.”
With a new offensive system in place and several changes made to the offensive line, Roethlisberger has accepted that Pittsburgh will probably deal with some growing pains early on this season.
"Like anything, there’s going to be growing pains,” Roethlisberger explained. “We’re all going to experience them. Even someone in his 18th season is going to experience growing pains. The key is, do we learn from those growing pains? How often do those pains come?”
The Steelers' schedule won't do them any favors to start the season, as their first two opponents are the Bills and Raiders.
If they can't learn from their growing pains and adjust on the fly, the Steelers could start the 2021 season in an early hole.
