Bills Reveal Where Things Stand With Damar Hamlin
As Bills safety Damar Hamlin continues his journey to full recovery, GM Brandon Beane offered an update on his status as far as the 2023 season.
Per NFL Media's Mike Garafolo, Beane says Damar Hamlin continues to see specialists and has gotten good news so far, but still has "two or three more he has to see."
Garafolo reports that members of the Bills medical staff are going through the process with him. With Beane adding, "Assuming he gets full clearance I know he'd want to play."
Beane also joked that Hamlin has been "America's guest" lately and that he'd love for the 24-year-old to have a storybook ending by getting back on the field. But says, "It's a decision for Damar but also for us."
Hamlin's story was one that extended well beyond the sports world when he suffered cardiac arrest on the field following a first quarter hit on "Monday Night Football."
Thankfully, his life was saved thanks to first responders on the field and a number of medical professionals at the local Cincinnati hospital. What an amazing sight it would be to see Hamlin back on the field doing his thing, but there are still questions that need to be answered before that happens.
